It’s an old habit by now: Betsie and I, we publish photos and little stories of our adventures. Unless you were hiding and didn’t have contact with the outside world, you must know that we had two major snow storms in the mid-Atlantic region of the US during the last few days. Betsie arrived here this past Sunday just after the first one hit and the airport had opened again; she caught the second storm. Here some pictures of the scenery around my house and in the neighborhood.
Betsie shoveling snow in front of my house and in the driveway (my van in the background):
And it just kept on snowing…….
Here with my house in the background:
Taken from my livingroom looking out over the sundeck (the melting snow from the roof creates the icicles):
A walk on Beauregard Street; not a whole lot of traffic….
These people still need to dig out........
The path close to Holmes Run (creek); Betsie thigh-deep in the snow.
Happy snow hiker:
We were planning to go on a short trip today to the Atlantic coast (the ocean has its attraction also in winter). We'll probably leave tomorrow as many streets are still impassable....
Until our next blog. All the best,
Henk and Betsie
